Christian

Here is some inportant information I found on a doctors visit when Christian was 12 weeks old.

“The child was born with extreme prematurity at approximately 27 weeks gestation, weight of 955 grams” (2 lbs 1 oz) “Cource was complicated by respiratory distress syndrome, patent ductus arteriosus, small central nervous system hemorrhage, physiologic jaundice, apnea of prematurity, persistent heart murmur, urinary tract infection, and rotavirus infection, gastroesophageal reflux. ”

Here is some inportant information I found on a MRI result paper when Christian was 5.

“A 5 year old male with history of intraventricular hemorrhage as a neonate. He also has a history of seizures.”

Findings: “The skull is shortened in its AP diameter, compatible with brachiocephally. In addition, there is flattening of the right posterior skull compatible with plagiocephally.

The ventriculars are enlarged for a patient of this age, with the left frontal horn of the lateral ventricle more prominent than the right side. Clearly whether this is secondary to a perinatal insult resulting in central atrophy. No mass effect or midline shift is identified. No enhancing masses are seen upon contrast administration.

The cerebellum is normally shaped and the cerebellar tonsils are in a normal position. The cervicomedullary junction is also normal.”

“Conclusions:

  • Brachiocephally with a right petit plagiocephally posteriorly.
  • Somewhat dilated ventricles for a patient of this age, left greater than right, raising the question of a perinatal insult resulting in central atrophy.
  • No Enhancing masses and no evidence for abnormal myelination pattern or migrational anomalies.
